I'd like to start off by saying that I hope you all are staying safe and taking care of your mental health during these difficult times. Knowing that many turn to online communities to distract themselves from these stressful times, I'd like to personally apologize for the lack of any considerable updates to the server since July. At long last, I come bearing good tidings to you, wherever you are.

» An Explanation
Though the admin team prided ourselves on how the server took off again back in July, we hit an obstacle. We had so many great ideas being thrown around internally to improve the server even more that we simply didn't know where to start. Even after recruiting some of our best staff members to help manage the server alongside us, we were still having trouble executing our plans.
» Regarding 1.16
We were then thrown a curveball when 1.16 was announced and subsequently released, and everybody (understandably so) wanted to experience the update on the server with their friends in a safe environment. Unfortunately, as per usual with recent updates, server performance tanked. It was so terrible, in fact, that even testing it among management resulted in many issues. We didn't want to sacrifice how smoothly the server had been running for some new blocks, mobs, and items, no matter how cool they were. Nobody likes a laggy server or one that's constantly crashing, and we weren't about to subject any of you to that. As Minecraft continued to update, we were left waiting for performance fixes, and it just seemed to be getting worse and worse.
» Good Tidings
That is why today, I am ecstatic to report that 1.16 is now stable enough to run the server on. Though stock performance isn't the best, we are confident that we will be able to include performance improvements that will reduce any possibilities of lag or crashes. Alongside 1.16, we will also be introducing some additional updates to improve your experience while playing on the server. We have big plans for the server that we will share with all of you as time permits, but properly prioritizing these updates is at the top of our list. It may take a bit of time before updates are announced, but rest assured that we are actively planning and testing them ourselves before thinking about writing the announcement up.
With that said, the server will be entering maintenance mode starting today. During this time, you will be unable to access the server. Though we don't have an ETA for when we will come back online, know that we will be working as hard as possible to have an expeditious relaunch.
» Thank You
Well, that about wraps everything up. Thank you to all of you who have stuck around this long and continue to play on the server. Whether it's five, 10, or 30 players, you give us the motivation to continue improving the server. Without you, this community wouldn't even be possible, and we are ever grateful for having such a great group of players. We feel that it's crucial for us to not lose sight of that.
Stay healthy this holiday season; we can't wait to see you again.
